aaaaaaaand, we're back

A lot of important stuff has happened in past few years: Bin Laden was captured and eliminated, Leah Remini left Scientology, Kimyae birthed a VERY famous baby girl and named her North (?), aaaaand America discovered kale.

Ive done a fair amount of personal reflection over these years.  Not too much, but enough to feel dark inside about Yoshi's lack of follow through.  Sorry world.

In years passing I have uncovered much knowledge about living green.  Here are some topics you can look forward to:

• Beauty - what you SHOULDN'T put on your lips, and other related problems.
• Gardening- bringing your plants back from the white light
• Food -  and its health benefits.
• People - the sustainable kind and their lifestyles. 

Here is the deal, you are made from nature. So, bring your life closer to it and increase your happiness. Be like a tree (old and stoic).

My new found love. WrecordsByMonkey's off the train collection gives tribute to one of my favorite places in the world: New York. By using vinyl LPs, WrecordsByMonkey has been making amazing collections since 2004. This collection being the best of them yet. If I can't have a dance party in Brooklyn with my homegirls, I'll wear them near my heart.

Remember when you used to pop Kriss Kross into your boom box and JUMP after school? Well, now those ancient tapes are being used to create new things to jump about. Sonic Fabric is making fabrics from tapes for everything from neckties to upholstery. A helpful diagram is provided below.

Wow. With innovation like this, I am only left with one question: ARE THEY HIRING? ...somebody find out and let me know.

Not everything that is environmentally friendly has to be ugly. I'll admit, many designs are not worthy of Paris Fashion Week. In fact, sometimes they don't belong at ANY fashion week. Not even Portland. Portland has a fashion week??

Nina Dolcetti shoes have helped break the mold for ecologically friendly designs. The company was founded in 2008 by Elisalex Grunfeld de Castro. The shoes that ornate your feet are made from unwanted cuts of leather and consumer waste. Watch out for Spring 2010. If they look anything like the previous seasons seen below, you will surely see these cupcakes on my dogs.
